Our Story

Our bunnies have all come into our care through a variety of paths: rescued from auction houses, saved from impending slaughter, and taken in from individuals unable to provide them with the ideal care and life they deserve. As a family-run operation with four generations actively involved, we have dedicated ourselves to animal rescue for almost two decades. 

 

Our family has had a hobby farm dating back to 1963 back in Richmond, BC after immigrating to Canada. We devote our time, care, and love to ensure our animals receive the best possible care and, most importantly, the chance to live their best lives. Every animal deserves a chance and our priority is to create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of these animals. 

This mission is so personal to me because it comes from my own journey navigating through grief of close friends and family. In some of the toughest moments, it was the animals who carried me through. We have never shared a conversation, but their actions spoke louder than words ever could. They stayed by my side, comforting me in a way that nothing else could. At the same time, I continued rescuing animals from livestock auctions, just as my grandparents did with me for almost twenty years while they were still alive. They always believed every animal deserved a second chance, and I wanted to honor that legacy. Many of these animals came to me scared and/or abused. But with patience, love, and care, I watched them transform. They went from skittish and uncertain to confident, happy, and full of life. It was incredible to see their resilience, and in helping them heal, I found healing too. It showed me just how powerful the bond between humans and animals can be. That’s why I’m so passionate about sharing this with others. You never know what someone might be going through, but animals have this amazing ability to sense it, to connect, and to bring a kind of comfort and hope that’s hard to put into words.
